Thermal Paper rolls must be stored in a dark, cool, and dry area to maintain integrity. Storage in bright light or heat (such as a restaurant kitchen) will cause a breakdown of the material and render the roll un-usable. Rolls that look like the one to the right may have already lost the ability to save receipt information and even if the printer manages to imprint the receipt, the lifespan of the receipt is not acceptable for accounting / tax requirements.
